- Website for a wine shop based in Los Angeles using a WooCommerce shopping system. After taking over an outdated code base riddled with performance issues and layout bugs, I have become the lead maintainer.
Working with legacy code was one of the skills I struggled with the most when I first started working as a developer. Slowly but surely I have become much better at applying partial updates only where needed and avoiding the temptation of redoing it all.

- As luck would have it, my first website working as a full time developer would be for collaboration between Daft Punk and Disney.
The website for the Tron Legacy soundtrack featured an HTML5 Canvas animation done by the legend Mr. Doob in the earliest days of HTML5 Canvas, and integration with the TopSpin media platform. I was in charge of the CSS layout and sychonizing the JavaScript animations that welcomed users to the site.

With hundreds of exclusive properties through Manhattan and Brooklyn, plus thousands more throughout New York City shared through the Rets MLS, it proved a challange to present all that data in clear, accessible designs.
While built on top of WordPress, we had to create our own custom SQL queries for the search results and for prioritizing the client’s exclusive properties.

Completely made in-house, including a custom made CMS, this website features all the great work lead by my mentors, the talented British duo Caspar Newbolt and Giles Copp. The clean layout hides some of the more interesting features added to the site, including drag and drop, HTML5 Canvas, CSS text columns, image distortion, and infinite scroll.

- Visually compelling website for Kaleidoscope, a public relations consulting firm with offices in New York.
Give the client’s name, the centerpiece of the website is hardly surprising. An HTML5 Canvas 2D kaleidoscopic animation of an image which responds to the mouse position, made all the more fun by allowing the user to change the mirrored graphic either by drawing (using the Harmony library) or by uploading a webcam selfie. This website also includes 3D WebGL animations only visible on mouse hover.

Using a heavily optimized WordPress setup, we were able to provide a familiar Content Management interface while also delivering a very fast, lean website. Custom SQL queries were required to filter in real-time the top news based on user engagement.

With over two decades at the forefront of the New York art photography scene, the Dahlen Studio ouvre spans a collection of thousands of high quality photographs, most of which are visible on the website. We use Zenphoto to manage the image collection, and custom slideshows using a combination of Adobe Premiere to make videos, and JavaScript / CSS animations.
